“Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Howard Thurman

A little about me

My passion is working with clients to provide fluid and gentle yet effective massage to facilitate positive change in the body and the mind. Massage therapy is not just my job, it is my calling. After earning a BA in English and a legal assistant degree, then holding various positions in the legal, business and consulting worlds, I wanted something more. I wanted to help people in a meaningful and direct way. Time spent meditating on my next step led me to apply to massage therapy school. Memories of the relief a loved one experienced from the gentle touch of massage while undergoing cancer treatment left a lasting impression on me and fueled my motivation to go back to school two decades later. That was one of the best decision I have ever made.

My pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist (Vodder method) through Klose Training, and a Reiki Master. I completed oncology massage training with Tracy Walton & Associates, and was fortunate to study hospice massage with Irene Smith of Everflowing. I am a Society for Oncology Massage member and Preferred Practicioner. In 2021, I completed trauma-sensitivity training with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, as well as the Trauma Resource Institute's Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® workshop in 2022. Also in 2021, I completed the Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn UMass Center for Mindfulness’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course through Mindful Leader. Completion of the dermatologist-taught "The Skinny on Skin" course, taught me to screen for suspicious moles. I am a certified member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Since 2017, I have been a proud member of the therapist team at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden Cancer Support Center in Harvard, MA.
